Roll Up by Oui Concept is a new hand roll bar blending Japanese culinary traditions with French design aesthetics. Located in Chicago’s South Loop, we offer a cozy and elevated dining experience. Our focus is on delivering freshly prepared hand rolls directly to our guests in an intimate setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Engagement: Greet and seat guests warmly, providing menu guidance and answering questions about ingredients, preparation methods, and potential allergens.
- Order Management: Accurately take food and beverage orders using our POS system, ensuring special requests and modifications are clearly communicated to the kitchen.
- Service Excellence: Deliver food and drinks promptly, checking in with guests to ensure satisfaction and addressing any concerns swiftly.
- Table Maintenance: Pre-bus tables, refill beverages, and reset settings to maintain a clean and inviting dining area.
- Payment Processing: Present checks, process payments accurately, and handle cash or card transactions responsibly.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff and fellow servers to ensure seamless service and uphold our high standards.
- Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Food Handler Certificate (or ServSafe Food Handler).
- Basset certificate
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Punctual, dependable, and team-oriented.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Familiarity with Japanese cuisine or hand roll preparation.
- Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) – preferred but not mandatory.
