Auto Body Shop Technician
The Auto Body Technician is responsible for repairing damaged vehicle body parts in accordance with company specifications, processes, and time standards.
- We are searching for an auto body technician with at least two years of experience in an auto body shop environment
- Carry out a range of repairs, from removing minor dents to complete frame and structure repair
- Ability to keep up and succeed in a fast-paced working environment
- Monday-Friday 8:30 am- 5:30 pm
- Paid Weekly
Responsibilities
- Perform quality repairs while keeping on-time status in mind
- Examine and evaluate damaged vehicles to plan for efficient repairs according to established standards
- Repair damaged body parts and bodies of vehicles in accordance with factory and dealership specifications and time standards
- Replace all parts associated with collision repair including body panels, Quarter panels, rear body panels, bumpers, hoods, fenders, doors, vehicle structure, trim, etc.
- Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations such as the disposal of hazardous waste
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order. Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner. Ensures that work area is organized, clean and free of safety hazards
- Notifies management of any difficulties or problems that may prevent a quality job from being performed or cause a change in the promised completion/delivery time
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License
- Your own reliable transportation
- At least 2 years of (preferred) Auto body experience
- Ability to work independently without close supervision.
- Self-motivated with strong work ethic
- Strong communication and mechanical skills
- Ability to follow through on all tasks given from start to finish
- Possess extensive knowledge of vehicle structure to remove and replace damaged components
- Prompt and courteous demeanor
- Positive and hardworking personality
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment with strong attention to detail
- Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
