Duties
- Deliver engaging social studies and history lessons that foster critical thinking, cultural awareness, and civic responsibility
- Incorporate creative writing, journalism, and research activities to enhance literacy education and analytical skills
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques
- Provide mentorship and academic advising to support students’ personal development and academic success
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, History, Social Sciences or related field; higher education teaching experience preferred
- Proven classroom experience with middle school or high school students in social studies or history subjects
- Familiarity with learning technology tools, library services, and educational software to enhance instruction
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Organizational skills necessary for managing multiple classes, assessments, and extracurricular activities
