As a NOTA Driver, you're more than a driver—you provide independence, peace of mind, and friendly service to people who rely on us for medical appointments, grocery shopping, work, and everyday activities.

What You'll Do
- Safely transport passengers throughout Oakland County.
- Assist passengers with boarding, exiting, mobility devices, and other needs while treating everyone with dignity and respect.
- Follow scheduled routes while maintaining a safe, reliable, and on-time service.
- Provide exceptional customer service by creating a welcoming and positive experience for every passenger.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding schedule updates, traffic delays, or service concerns.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns.
- Keep assigned vehicles clean, fueled, and ready for service.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and NOTA policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Schedule & Availability
We offer part-time scheduling with opportunities to fit a variety of availability.
- Up to 25 hours per week
- Weekday, evening, weekend, and weekend-only opportunities available
- Individual shifts typically range from 3–8 hours
- Currently looking for 1:00-6:00 and 1:00-9:00PM weekday coverage
- Open 7 days a week
- Weekend shifts are available on Saturdays and Sundays and are scheduled within our operating hours based on business needs (Sat 6 AM to 4 PM, Sun 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM)
Qualifications & Abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Michigan Chauffeur License (or ability to obtain one)
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and FTA drug screening
- Friendly, patient, and dependable personality
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to assist passengers with varying mobility needs
- Familiarity with the local area is helpful but not required
