Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. Duties
The primary responsibility is to provide professional mental health services including assessments, evaluations, crisis interventions, therapy and psychosocial education services virtually at the AIRs events.
- Provide virtual mental health and therapeutic services including, but not limited to crisis assessments with appropriate interventions, mental health evaluations and creation of safety and treatment plans as part of Althing’s AIRs events
- Ensure proper documentation of provided mental health services including mental health screenings, diagnostic assessments, individualized treatment plans, individual, group and family therapy services, mental health case management, progress notes, discharge summary at termination of services, and the maintenance of patients’ records in Althing’s EMR (Athena)
- Create positive, differentiated patient experiences
- Maintain quality assurance standards and comply with applicable infection control, HIPAA, WSHA, and OSHA regulations
Skills
- Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
- 1-2 years of progressive clinical nursing experience with primary care management of patient population with psychiatric disease
- Interest in providing mental health services to adolescents age 12 and older and adults
- Active licensure in Minnesota
- Strong crisis management skills to handle urgent situations with care and efficiency
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with other members of the clinical team
- Strong organizational skills and understanding of documentation requirements
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to successfully complete background check
- Experience in the fields of youth and adult mental health and substance use disorders
- Proactive, motivated individual with a passion for innovative mental health services
- Ability to travel to support district health and employee health services on site
