American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVOR position requiring at least 1 year of CVOR experience and open heart/thoracic procedure skills.

Work in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) of a hospital environment
-
Unit has 4 operating rooms
-
Cardiothoracic patient population
-
Day shift schedule, 4x10, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
-
Rotational call required for nights, weekends, and holidays
-
Floating required as needed by facility

Uses Epic Optime EMR
-
Active RN license (Missouri or Compact) currently in hand
-
Current certifications: BLS and ACLS from AHA only

Minimum 1 year of recent CVOR experience required
-
Required experience with Open Heart and Thoracic procedures
-
Preferred experience with ECMO, Impella insertion, and Robotics
-
No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months
-
Valid U.S. Social Security Number required (Canadian SINs not accepted)

Provide direct patient care using the nursing process including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation

Coordinate patient care with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort
-
Fast-paced work environment suited to candidates who thrive under pressure

Black scrubs required; jeans and unprofessional attire not permitted

Flu vaccination or Mercy-approved exemption required for all travelers from November 1 to April 1, with no declinations accepted
-
Up to 5 days of requested time off allowed but must be made up during the assignment

Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are considered local and subject to a reduced bill rate
-
Local candidates are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts before requiring a 1-year separation or transfer outside the 50-mile radius
