Building Kidz seeks an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Director to join our amazing team! This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with passionate educators and make a meaningful impact on young children as they embark on their first classroom experience.
We are looking for a warm, organized, and charismatic Assistant Director to partner with us in shaping young minds. Together, we will cultivate a nurturing environment for our staff, families, and children as they begin their educational journey.
Responsibilities:Administrative & Operational Oversight
- Ensure smooth daily operations by managing student enrollment, tuition processing, budget tracking, and compliance with licensing requirements.
- Oversee records management, including student and staff files, subsidy paperwork, attendance tracking, and required documentation.
- Coordinate facility needs such as classroom setup, maintenance scheduling, and supply ordering.
Communication & Community Engagement
- Serve as a key liaison between staff, families, and the corporate office ensuring clear and timely communication.
- Manage parent and staff updates, including newsletters, event reminders, and enrollment information.
- Support marketing efforts, such as outreach materials.
Staff & Classroom Support
- Assist the Director in staff onboarding, scheduling, and general support.
- Step in as Acting Director when needed and provide classroom coverage as necessary.
- Participate in staff meetings and leadership discussions to support preschool operations.
Event & Program Coordination
- Help plan and execute key preschool events, such as Parent Orientation, Parent Events and seasonal celebrations.
- Organize enrollment periods, ensuring a smooth process for returning and new families.
- Assist with annual planning, including tuition updates and program improvements.
Qualifications:Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 12 Early Childhood Education Core (ECE) units, plus 3 Infant Toddlers units and additional 3 admin units. Willingness to complete required coursework if not yet met.
- 1+ years of experience in school administration, preferably as a Preschool Director, Interim Director, or Assistant Director.
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).

- A team player, creative problem-solver, self-starter, and independent worker.
- Comfortable working in a busy environment with frequent interruptions.
- Effective communicator with staff, families, and inquiring families in the community.
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to set and meet project deadlines.
- Proficiency in Google Suite; experience with Lineleader is a plus
- Ability to plan and host community events.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds and work both indoors and outdoors.
- Assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children.
- Read, write, understand, and speak English fluently to communicate with children and their parents.
