Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Consulting Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise across multiple disciplines to deliver comprehensive solutions for complex projects in manufacturing, construction, and systems engineering. Duties
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and optimize system designs using CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools.
- Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting for engineering issues across manufacturing and construction projects.
- Lead project scheduling efforts, coordinating timelines, resources, and deliverables to meet project milestones efficiently.
- Perform mechanical design and 3D modeling for product development, utilizing tools like MATLAB, Python scripting, and 3D scanners.
- Analyze building code compliance and building information modeling (BIM) data to ensure safety standards are met in construction projects.
- Develop schematics and technical documentation for fire protection systems, mechanical systems, and civil engineering applications.
- Provide system design expertise in areas such as fire safety, mechanical systems, or mining operations while maintaining focus on quality control and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Facilitate research activities, data collection, and laboratory testing to support engineering troubleshooting and system improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related fields; advanced degrees preferred.
- Proven experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role with a strong understanding of mechanical knowledge and systems design.
- Proficiency with CAD software including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and BIM tools; experience with 3D modeling for product design is essential.
- Strong skills in project management, project scheduling, and cross-functional communication to lead complex initiatives effectively.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), scripting languages such as Python or C++, MATLAB, and data analysis skills for research and troubleshooting tasks.
- Familiarity with building code analysis, building code compliance standards, fire protection systems design, and construction experience is highly desirable.
- Experience with system troubleshooting in manufacturing or mining environments; laboratory experience is a plus.
- Excellent math skills combined with the ability to interpret schematics, technical drawings, and data collection results.

Pay: $97,896.02 - $117,896.28 per year
