House Rules Vegas is a new hospitality, entertainment, restaurant, bar, and private event venue located in Las Vegas.
We are building a high-energy group event destination designed for corporate outings, team-building events, private parties, celebrations, convention groups, and social gatherings. Our venue will feature unique group experiences, food and beverage packages, and a hospitality-driven event model built around creating memorable, easy-to-book experiences for guests and groups.
We are looking for a serious sales professional who can help turn high-quality group event inquiries into booked revenue.
Position Overview
The Group Sales & Catering Manager – Inside Sales is a high-performance sales position focused on converting group event inquiries into booked revenue.
This is not a passive administrative role. This is a results-driven sales position where prior sales experience, closing experience, CRM discipline, and the ability to manage a high-volume pipeline are first and foremost requirements.
House Rules Vegas is a unique hospitality and entertainment venue, and we expect a strong volume of qualified group event inquiries. The person in this role must be able to respond quickly, create immediate rapport with guests, understand their needs, recommend the right experience, sell appropriate catering and beverage packages, identify event enhancement opportunities, and secure deposits as efficiently as possible.
We are looking for a true pipeline manager — someone who is experienced in handling multiple active opportunities, following up consistently, closing a high percentage of qualified inquiries, and keeping every lead moving toward a decision.
Success in this role will be measured by speed-to-lead, CRM accuracy, follow-up consistency, close rate, deposits secured, booked group sales revenue, catering and beverage package sales, event enhancement revenue, upsell performance, and overall contribution to the group sales pipeline.
The ideal candidate is an experienced inside sales professional with hospitality, events, catering, venue, hotel, nightlife, convention, restaurant, or entertainment sales experience. This person should be highly organized, time-efficient, confident on the phone, strong in writing, comfortable asking closing questions, and capable of turning customer interest into confirmed bookings.
This role reports directly to the General Manager and works closely with venue operations, kitchen leadership, and the Business Development / Partnerships team.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead Response & CRM Management
- Respond quickly and professionally to inbound group event inquiries from the website, CRM, phone calls, online bookings, front desk referrals, business development efforts, and other lead sources.
- Manage all group sales opportunities through the company CRM.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, lead notes, follow-up tasks, deal stages, pipeline updates, booking details, and customer communication history.
- Prioritize speed-to-lead and consistent follow-up to increase close rates.
- Track every active opportunity and move each lead toward a clear next step.
- Re-engage lost opportunities, stalled leads, and past customers through phone, email, SMS, and CRM-driven follow-up.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and current sales pipeline at all times.
Sales, Closing & Deposits
- Qualify customers by asking strong questions about group size, event date, occasion, budget, timeline, food and beverage needs, and desired experience.
- Recommend the right event package, food and beverage options, add-ons, and upgrades based on the customer’s needs.
- Create customized proposals and booking options for group events.
- Close group event bookings by clearly explaining options, overcoming objections, securing deposits, and confirming details.
- Move quickly to convert qualified inquiries into booked revenue.
- Follow established sales practices while keeping communication professional, energetic, and customer-focused.
- Focus on securing deposits as quickly and efficiently as possible once a qualified opportunity is identified.
Catering, Beverage Package Sales & Event Enhancement Revenue
- Present catering and beverage packages as a core part of the group event sales process for all qualified opportunities.
- Help customers select the appropriate food and beverage package based on group size, event type, budget, timing, and guest experience goals.
- Communicate the value of pre-selected catering and beverage packages as part of creating a smoother, higher-quality event experience.
- Ensure catering and beverage selections are clearly included in proposals, booking details, CRM notes, and internal handoffs.
- Look for opportunities to increase average spend per guest through thoughtful event enhancements and custom add-ons.
- Identify and sell additional revenue opportunities such as DJ services, custom décor, branded elements, transportation coordination, premium reserved space, extended event time, upgraded beverage options, specialty menus, pop-ups, entertainment enhancements, or other à la carte event additions.
- Think like a true special events professional by identifying ways to make each event more memorable, more personalized, and more valuable.
- Track catering, beverage, and event enhancement revenue tied to each booking.
- Help maximize revenue per group event while improving the overall guest experience.
Business Development Support
- Support leads generated by the Business Development / Partnerships team.
- Process, follow up, proposal, and close opportunities that come from outside outreach, partnerships, referrals, convention relationships, hospitality relationships, and community connections.
- Keep clear communication with the General Manager and Business Development / Partnerships team regarding lead status, next steps, proposal activity, and booked revenue.
- Ensure all business development leads are handled quickly, professionally, and consistently.
- Help turn self-generated business development opportunities into confirmed bookings through strong CRM management and closing discipline.
Event Detail Confirmation & Operations Handoff
- Confirm all booking details, deposits, guest counts, timing, packages, food and beverage selections, special requests, and internal notes.
- Provide clean, accurate handoffs to the General Manager, kitchen leadership, and venue operations team.
- Coordinate occasional client walkthroughs or onsite meetings when needed.
- Ensure the operations team has complete and accurate information before each event.
- Help protect the guest experience by making sure expectations are clearly communicated before the event reaches the venue team.
Reporting & Accountability
- Review sales pipeline activity with the General Manager on a regular basis.
- Provide updates on lead volume, close rate, booked revenue, lost leads, follow-up activity, deposits secured, catering and beverage package sales, event enhancement revenue, upsell performance, and pipeline health.
- Complete proposals, reports, spreadsheets, CRM updates, and internal documents as needed.
- Maintain accountability through CRM activity, response time, pipeline management, close rate, deposits secured, and booked revenue.
- Consistently evaluate where leads are getting stuck and help improve the sales process.
Compensation
- Base Salary: $60,000 per year
- Commission: 1% commission on qualifying group sales events with a service charge applied
- Service charges generally apply to group events of 10 or more guests
- Expected Total Compensation: $75,000–$110,000+ annually based on performance
- The expectation for this role is to help process, manage, and close a group sales pipeline with a target of approximately $3,000,000 in annual group sales
- At $1,500,000 in annual qualifying group sales, 1% commission would equal approximately $15,000 in annual commission opportunity
- At $3,000,000 in annual qualifying group sales, 1% commission would equal approximately $30,000 in annual commission opportunity
- Additional performance-based bonus opportunity may be available based on qualifying sales performance tiers
- Potential bonus opportunity may be up to $50,000 based on exceptional sales performance
- Anticipated year-one compensation for a high performer may exceed $100,000

Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in sales, hospitality sales, event sales, catering sales, hotel sales, venue sales, restaurant sales, nightlife sales, convention sales, or related inside sales experience.
- Proven experience closing inbound leads and managing a high-volume sales pipeline.
- Strong CRM experience required.
- Demonstrated ability to follow up consistently and move leads through a defined sales process.
- Strong phone, email, SMS, and written communication skills.
- Ability to ask strong qualifying questions and recommend the right package based on customer needs.
- Experience securing deposits, closing deals, and managing customer expectations.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail with accurate CRM notes, booking details, and internal handoffs.
- Ability to work onsite at House Rules Vegas for the first 90 days.
- Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends based on client needs and inquiry volume.
- Ability to work closely with venue operations, kitchen leadership, and general management.

Schedule & Work Requirements
- Full-time position.
- This position is expected to be onsite at House Rules Vegas for the first 90 days.
- The first 90 days are intended to provide full familiarity with the venue, operation, guest experience, team, packages, event flow, sales process, CRM process, and internal handoff procedures.
- After the first 90 days, a hybrid / remote structure may be discussed with the General Manager and upper leadership based on performance, CRM activity, sales results, operational needs, and overall efficiency.
- Evening and weekend responsiveness may be required based on inquiry volume, client needs, and event schedule.
- Occasional client walkthroughs, onsite meetings, or event handoffs may be required.
