Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, evidence-based care in an acute inpatient adult psychiatric unit. The RN will assess, monitor, and treat patients with a wide range of mental health conditions while ensuring a safe therapeutic environment through crisis intervention and behavioral management.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and care for adult behavioral health patients.
- Administer psychiatric medications and monitor patient response.
- Perform patient assessments, medication administration, and documentation in EPIC.
- Utilize de-escalation, crisis intervention, and behavior management techniques.
- Monitor patients for suicide risk, self-harm, aggression, and changes in mental status.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and medications.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License
- BLS Certification (Required)
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience
- Previous travel experience required
- EPIC charting experience required
- Experience caring for patients with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, PTSD, personality disorders, substance use disorders, eating disorders, and suicidal or assaultive behaviors

- Every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday)
