Position Overview
The Executive Chef position is responsible for the overall food & beverage operation, presentation, and guest experience at the Pheasant Bonanza. This is a hands-on role that combines hospitality, creativity, organization, and top-tier cleanliness standards. The ideal candidate takes pride in the total food & beverage experience for all guests. This is located in rural Burt County Nebraska in a lodge/kitchen setting with regular interaction with customers and staff
Key Responsibilities:
Food & Beverage Operations & Guest Experience
· Manage all food & beverage operations
· Ensure a high-quality, welcoming experience for all guests
· Prepare breakfast, lunch, appetizers, and dinner dishes/meals for all guests
· Order, maintain, and track food & beverage inventory
· Food & beverage budget creation and execution
· Food & beverage menu creation and quality standard
Facility Management
· Oversee and perform cleaning of kitchen, all related equipment, bar areas, and storage areas
· Maintain overall food & beverage cleanliness, organization, and appearance
· Identify and report maintenance issues promptly
Staff Coordination & Support
· Supervise, train and assist all food & beverage support staff
· Assigning bartender (assists in serving), dishwasher, and breakfast (during season) schedules
· Assist in hiring bartenders, dish washers, and breakfast cooks (during hunting season)
· Step in wherever needed to ensure smooth daily operations
· Assist in other tasks as needed

Qualifications
· Experience in culinary, bartending, hospitality, or restaurant management preferred
· Experience cooking wild game is a plus
· Strong organizational and leadership skills
· Excellent communication and customer service abilities
· High attention to detail and cleanliness standards
· Self-motivated, willing and able to take a hands-on approach
·Ability to multitask, work flexible hours, and work most weekends, especially during hunting season

Compensation & Benefits
·Competitive hourly wage / salary- $45,000-$67,000 (based on experience) (6-7 days a week (September 15-December 15, 5-6 days a week December 16-April 15, 4-5 days a week ·April 16-September 14) *This position will require you to work most weekends.
