We’re hiring a Machine Assembly Technician for a successful West Michigan company in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In this role, Machine Assembly Technicians will be responsible for building manufacturing equipment and machines according to engineering prints and specifications. This position requires a highly detail-oriented person with their Journeyman Card or at least 5 years of machine building experience.

Machine Assembly Technician Responsibilities
- Build and assemble machinery according to design, utilizing blueprints, engineering designs, tolerances, and specifications for accuracy
- Partner with other departments to ensure timely delivery and necessary inventory of parts for the building process
- Assist the Team Lead with communications between customers, suppliers, electricians, and internal departments to ensure the timely completion of each job
- Install, test, and troubleshoot equipment and machinery
- Assist in training new team members
Machine Assembly Technician Requirements
- Must have at least 5 years of related experience or Journeyman Card
- Knowledge of engineering designs and prints (including Solid Works), pneumatics and hydraulic components, and various computer software (Microsoft Office Suite, Epicor ERP)
- Welding experience
- Ability to use hand tools with precision
Work Schedule / Shift Details
- 1st Shift
- 40 – 45 hours per week
Pay Rate
- $24-$30 per hour
- Overtime pay when applicable
