Spotfree Car Wash is looking for a detail oriented Service Attendant responsible for customer care and general upkeep of the facilities including interacting with customers, problem solving, power washing, cleaning customer service areas, as well as general customer service.

- Applicant must be able to read, write and speak English fluently. Spanish skills are a plus.
- Applicant must be able to operate on their own after training and be a self-starter with daily duties and tasks as assigned.
- Candidate should understand that this is a multi-site position where they will have to drive their personal vehicle between up to 2 sites per day.
- Daily shifts would be 5 day work weeks with the option for the morning shift (8am-5pm) Every other weekend is required as part of a five day work week with either a Friday/Saturday or a Sunday/ Monday weekend scheduled work days.
- Overtime may be available. Potential for more hours or additional pay if candidate has mechanical skills.
- Attendant responsible for operating on their own with minimal supervision after training is completed. Reliable and punctual attendance is a must, we have a strict absence policy.
- Additional duties may include seasonal care such as ability to run a snow blower, snow shovel, leaf blower, push salt spreader or additional duties as assigned.
- Individual should be able to operate hand tools and small power tools proficiently. Additional compensation for individual with plumbing or electrical proficiency.
- Applicant must be able to comfortable lift 60 lbs. repeatedly and climb up to a 8' ladder with ease. A physical test may be required to assess skills for this requirement. Medical conditions affecting applicants steadiness or balance would exclude them from qualifying.
- A valid Iowa driver's license is required and must have a reliable vehicle that is able to operate in normal winter driving conditions.
- Position requires daily travel between 4 car wash sites in the Des Moines metro area on a daily schedule depending on the shifts assigned. Approximately 10-15 minute drive between locations typically with a total of 11-15 miles per day. You must provide your own vehicle, travel time and mileage is compensated. Mileage is reimbursed at current IRS rate.
- Position is hourly with the potential for earned vacation time and access to health insurance if full-time (35+ hours per week)
- Uniform is provided such as t-shirt or sweatshirt. Gloves and any safety items are provided as well. Allowances for warm weather gear and boots also.
- Applicant must be able to pass employment verification and criminal background check.
- We are a tobacco and drug-free employer while on duty. No Smoking or vaping while on-duty.
- For safety reasons, no facial, tongue, body or ear piercings can be installed while working, nor are long fingernails, rings or large, loose jewelry allowed.
- Long hair (including any type of braid) is not allowed due to safety guidelines around equipment where it may become entangled. Personal grooming standards are at the discretion of the employer and reviewed at the time of hire offer.
- Tattoos may be required to be covered during work hours if deemed necessary by management.
