Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Marine Service Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of marine equipment and vessels. Your expertise will ensure that all marine systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on boats and jet ski's.
- Perform routine maintenance on marine engines, propulsion systems, electrical wiring and rigging.
- Knowledgeable of power tools and hand tools to restore equipment to optimal condition.
- Assist with the installation of new equipment and systems on vessels, including rigging and fabrication tasks.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly, offering maintenance advice, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the service process.
- Adhere to safety protocols during heavy lifting operations and when handling hazardous materials or electrical components.
- Maintain detailed service records, logs of repairs performed, parts used, and diagnostic findings for each vessel serviced.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician within the marine industry.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience with inboards and outboards.
- Familiarity with power tools and hand tools is essential.
- Experience with rigging systems on boats; ability to handle heavy lifting safely is required.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and problem-solving.
- Physical ability to perform demanding tasks involving heavy lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and working in confined spaces.
