Responsibilities
- Assist in daily animal husbandry tasks including feeding, watering, and monitoring pig health status
- Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques to ensure both animal welfare and personal safety
- Conduct routine sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and healthy environment for the herd
- Operate mechanical equipment such as feed delivery systems and cleaning tools with proper safety protocols
- Assist with animal movement, including loading, unloading, and transportation within farm facilities
- Maintain accurate records of animal health, treatments, breeding activities, and sanitation schedules
Experience
- Prior experience in farming or agriculture environments is highly desirable
- Hands-on animal handling experience with livestock is a plus
- Knowledge of animal husbandry practices and basic veterinary procedures preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to farm equipment operation is beneficial
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and standing for extended periods
- Familiarity with sanitation protocols and biosecurity measures on farms
- Basic math skills for record keeping and inventory management

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
