Yard Truck Driver (Yard Dog)

Location: 1013 Jefferson St, Springdale, AR 72764
Reports To: Supervisor
Primary Function
Operate a road-legal yard truck to shuttle and position trailers within the facility yard, ensuring efficient movement between warehouse, freezer, and dock doors. This will be third shift 2200-0600 M-F with occasional weekends.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Spot trailers in and out of dock doors using a road-legal yard truck
- Move trailers between warehouse and freezer locations
- Communicate with warehouse personnel to identify trailers/loads ready for movement
- Ensure timely trailer placement to support loading and unloading operations
- Complete required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
- Follow all safety procedures and yard protocols

- Ability to work under high-stress conditions for extended periods
- Ability to complete required documentation accurately

- Outdoor yard environment
- Operation of yard dog/yard truck equipment
- Exposure to varying weather conditions
Job Qualifications
- Ability to safely operate a yard truck and maneuver 53’ trailers in and out of dock doors
- Class A CDL required
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work well with individuals and teams to ensure timely truck loading and unloading
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
