Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Asphalt Foreman to lead and oversee asphalt paving projects from start to finish. This role involves managing construction crews, coordinating project schedules, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining high-quality standards on all asphalt-related work. Duties
- Supervise and manage asphalt paving crews, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to project plans
- Coordinate construction schedules using Primavera P6 and other construction management software to meet project deadlines
- Review construction drawings and technical specifications to ensure accurate execution of paving operations
- Enforce safety protocols in compliance with OSHA and federal construction safety regulations, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections
- Oversee quality control measures, including blueprint reading, material inspection, and use of tools like ohmmeters for testing electrical components
- Manage project documentation using Bluebeam and ProCore for tracking progress, change orders, and daily reports
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve issues promptly and maintain smooth communication
Requirements
- Proven experience in asphalt paving, heavy civil or commercial construction projects with supervisory responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of construction management software including Primavera P6, ProCore, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and Primavera
- Skilled in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and construction schedules
- Familiarity with OSHA standards, federal safety regulations, and construction site safety management practices
- Ability to manage teams effectively while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
- Excellent communication skills for managing crews, coordinating schedules, and interfacing with clients and stakeholders
- Hands-on experience with construction site activities such as blueprint reading, quality control testing (including Ohmmeters), and supervision of crew management
- Valid experience in managing budgets, project scheduling, and ensuring compliance with all construction regulations
- Demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
