JOB TITLE: Clinician
DIRECT SUPERVISOR: Clinical Services Director
JOB SUMMARY: Residential treatment center clinician is responsible for providing clinical and therapeutic treatment services to clients. This includes individual and group services, as well as intake assessments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Create a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment for all clients.
- Provide individual counseling, group counseling, and/or therapeutic clinic services for clients.
- Formulate and document appropriate client diagnoses.
- Maintain timely and accurate client records and ensure confidentiality and compliance with accreditation, regulatory, and agency requirements.
- Perform comprehensive client assessments.
- Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments to evaluate the needs and treatment goals of clients seeking substance use disorder treatment.
- Develop, implement, evaluate, and update client treatment plans.
- Provide evidence-based individual and group therapy sessions using modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care.
- Remian in compliance with all applicable licensure and certifications, including continuing education and training requirements.
- Collaborate with other staff to facilitate client success.
- Provide clients with insight on substance use disorders.
- Remain compliant with all state and federal regulations.
- Complete all required continuing education credits.
- Attend all mandatory meetings.
- Complete all assigned training.
- Complete all duties as assigned in a timely manner.
- Complete all other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- Be able to work independently with minimal supervisor.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience with EHR systems preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Strong organization and time management skills.
- Knowledge of substance use and mental health disorders and treatment modalities.
- Experience providing and group clinical services for substance use and other co-occurring mental health disorders.
- Ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and client confidentiality.
- Ability to work with a diverse client population.

- Incident response and crisis de-escalation skills.
- Ability to remain calm in crisis situations.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
- Actively licensed/certified (independently or under supervisor) by the state of Kentucky to provide substance use and/or mental health clinical services with one of the following credentials: LPCC, LPCA, LCSW, CSW, LPP, LMFT, LCADC, LCADCA, CADC.
- Experience provided mental health therapy services in a residential/inpatient treatment setting preferred.
- CPR Certification (must be obtained within 3 months of employment.)

Pay: Up to $65,000.00 per year
