Position Overview:
We’re hiring a Back of House / Barista who is versatile, dependable, and takes initiative. This hybrid role involves both customer-facing barista duties and behind-the-scenes tasks like cleaning, restocking, prepping, and supporting the team during busy rushes.
Responsibilities:
Barista Duties
- Prepare espresso drinks, teas, cold brews and foods according to established recipes and standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
- Greet customers with warmth and make genuine recommendations
- Maintain a clean and well-stocked bar and condiment area
- Communicate proactively with the team during rushes
- Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels and notifying management of shortages.
- Complete cleaning checklists and keep café tidy throughout shift
- Handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining a balanced cash drawer.
Back of House Duties:
- Prepare desserts and foods according to to established recipes and standards, ensuring quality and presentation
- Complete cleaning checklists and keep café tidy throughout shift
- Handle dishwashing, restocking, organizing inventory, and taking out trash
- Assist in opening/closing procedures depending on shift
- Proactively identify what needs to be done and do it without being told
- Provide support to front-of-house staff as needed during peak service times.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous café, restaurant, or food service experience preferred (but not required)
- Barista or coffee experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- A sense of ownership and pride in your work
- Ability to stay calm and efficient in fast-paced environments
- Punctual, reliable, and a strong communicator
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers alike.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 35 per week
