Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic strings teacher to inspire students through the art of string instruments, including violin, viola, cello, and double bass. This role involves delivering engaging lessons that foster musical growth, creativity, and confidence in learners of all ages. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to students’ skill levels and interests in string instruments.
- Conduct engaging individual and group lessons focusing on technique, music theory, sight-reading, and performance skills.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering a supportive environment for students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- Prepare students for performances, recitals, and competitions by guiding rehearsals and providing constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and lesson plans to ensure continuous development.
Skills
- Strong expertise in curriculum development specific to string instruments and creative arts instruction.
- Knowledge of choreography, theater production, and performance techniques to enrich musical lessons.
- Experience working with children and adults.
- Excellent classroom management skills combined with behavior management strategies for diverse learners.
- Familiarity with special education needs and childhood development principles.
