About Rising Sun Presents & the 8x10:
Rising Sun Presents is a family of entertainment and hospitality professionals based in the greater Philadelphia area. We provide booking, marketing, production, ticketing, and operational management services in any live event space: clubs, theaters, outdoor concert series, festivals and more. Rising Sun Presents has recently taken ownership of the historic 8x10 music club. The 8x10 is a 300-capacity independent venue in the historic Federal Hill neighborhood of Baltimore re-opening October 2026. We plan for this role to start officially September 1st 2026.
Job Description:
- Conduct Weekly Bar Inventory (Beer, Wine & Liquor) including ordering, picking up, stocking, and ensure Inventory sheet is accurate in correspondence with accounting periods.
- Ensure the beverage program is physically organized and stocked on a weekly basis while working with the GM to maintain purchase budgets
- Work with GM to ensure Bar COGS are hitting benchmarks (Liquor 16%, Beer 18%, Wine 20%)
- Build relationships with Beverage Vendors
- Manage the hiring, training, scheduling, of the Bartenders & Bar Support employees
- Ensure Bartender & Bar Support SOPs are in place and being followed
- Ensure Bartender & Bar Support shifts meet the operational needs of the business on a weekly basis
- Manage the floor responsibilities during service
- Ensure an excellent customer experience
- Supervisor and coach all hourly employees during service
- Ensure Bar Hygiene and create a bar cleaning schedule
- Input tip matrix at the end of the night
- Conduct cash handling at the end of the night to reconcile cash sales
- Send out End Of Night report when closing the venue
- Close out bartenders, security, support & box office staff as applicable
- Ensure juices, syrups, are dated fresh and ready for service
- Ensure quality control of the beverage program
- Ensure quality control of the food program
- Troubleshoot R&M items
- Conduct venue supply order to ensure items are stocked
- Secure the venue and lock up at the end of the night
- Work with General Manager to make sure staff are held accountable for job responsibilities
- Work with General Manager on operational needs for the venue
- Collaborate with General Manager on quarterly seasonal menu changes for the beverage menu
- Execute organized quarterly beverage menu changes
- Help assist with general miscellaneous items for 8x10
Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
