What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field from an accredited institution
- Massachusetts certification as a Teacher for Students with Moderate Disabilities preferred; other DESE certifications or related licensure may be considered
- At least three years of successful experience in public schools, particularly with special education
- Understanding of special education, guidance, counseling, and psychology, and the ability to work effectively with children and adults from all backgrounds
- Deep empathy for the challenges and needs of students and families navigating special education
- Strong professional communication and organizational skills
- Ability to pass required background checks, drug screening, and complete all compliance steps
Your Areas of Impact:
- Oversee and facilitate all aspects of the special education process and regulatory compliance for grades 6–8
- Serve as liaison among families, school leaders, staff, and agencies to promote effective specialized services
- Coordinate and review Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) ensuring quality and accuracy
- Attend professional development sessions and collaborate with educational leadership
- Foster an inclusive environment and help families navigate challenges
