Contract Recruiter (1099) — Salesforce Roles

Role Overview
We're a growing startup looking for a resourceful, part-time contract recruiter to help us fill open technical and operational roles. You'll own the full-cycle sourcing and networking process — from using our compelling job descriptions for postings to identifying and engaging qualified candidates — using our existing channels (Indeed, LinkedIn, and our Ohana Slack community) as well as your own network and creative sourcing strategies.
This is a great fit for an experienced recruiter who enjoys flexible, project-based work and wants to make a real impact on a small, fast-moving team.
Roles You'll Be Recruiting For
We currently have 4 open positions across the following functions: (but we are growing!)
- Salesforce Administrator(s)
- Salesforce QA (Quality Assurance)
- Salesforce Project Manager / Business Analyst
What You'll Do
- Post our existing job descriptions to Indeed, LinkedIn, and other relevant channels
- Actively source and network to identify qualified candidates, including through the Ohana Slack community
- Screen resumes and conduct initial candidate outreach/conversations to assess fit
- Track candidate pipeline and provide regular status updates to the hiring team
- Coordinate scheduling for interviews with hiring managers
- Maintain a positive, professional candidate experience throughout the process
- Recommend improvements to our sourcing strategy and job postings based on market feedback
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience recruiting for technical and/or business roles (Salesforce ecosystem experience a plus, not required)
- Comfort working independently with minimal day-to-day oversight
- Familiarity with Indeed, LinkedIn Recruiter/networking, Slack-based communities a plus
- Ability to manage multiple open roles and candidate pipelines simultaneously
- Self-starter mentality — comfortable in a lean startup environment with evolving priorities
Details & Logistics
- This is a 1099 independent contractor role, not an employee position. You'll be responsible for your own taxes, equipment, and schedule.
- Estimated 5–15 hours per week, with flexibility to scale based on hiring needs and season
- Fully remote; occasional check-ins with the hiring team via Teams Calls
- This is an ongoing, month-to-month engagement, continuing as long as we have open roles and the arrangement is working well for both parties
Compensation Structure
- Hourly rate: $25–$45/hour, based on experience
- Placement bonus: $500 per successful hire
Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour
