About Us
Stara Pierogi & Sausage is a growing Polish restaurant serving authentic Polish cuisine in a fast-paced and friendly environment. We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Back of House Team Member to join our team.
This position is primarily a kitchen role; however, all team members are expected to assist with front-of-house operations during the final hours of service. Candidates should be comfortable interacting with customers and operating a cash register when needed.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to restaurant standards
- Cook and prepare pierogi, kielbasa, schnitzel, and other menu items
- Maintain food quality and consistency
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards
- Stock and organize kitchen inventory
- Receive and properly store deliveries
- Wash dishes and maintain a clean work environment
- Complete opening and closing kitchen duties
- Assist with customer service and cashier responsibilities during the final 1–2 hours of service each day
- Operate the POS system and process customer transactions when assigned
- Work closely with both kitchen and front-of-house staff
Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Polish language skills preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
- Restaurant, kitchen, or food preparation experience preferred
- Willingness to assist with front-of-house duties as needed
