Join a Growing, Multi-Specialty Dental Practice
Our established, state-of-the-art dental practice in Livingston, NJ is seeking an experienced Orthodontic Assistant to join our team. We are a busy, family-focused office providing Orthodontics, Pediatric Dentistry, General Dentistry, Oral Surgery, Prosthodontics, and Cosmetic Dentistry under one roof.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated orthodontic professional who enjoys working with children, teens, and adults in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist orthodontist during patient treatment
- Take digital scans (iTero preferred)
- Place and remove orthodontic appliances
- Change archwires, ties, and elastics
- Take orthodontic photographs and radiographs
- Provide oral hygiene and orthodontic care instructions
- Sterilization and operatory setup
- Maintain accurate clinical records
- Coordinate treatment flow and patient scheduling
- Support Invisalign® and Angel Aligner treatment
Qualifications
- Orthodontic assisting experience preferred
- Dental Assistant certification a plus
- Experience with braces, Invisalign®, retainers, and orthodontic records
- Knowledge of digital scanning technology
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable working with children and families
- Team-oriented with excellent attention to detail
