Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items in compliance with established recipes and quality standards
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables, butchering meat, and preparing sauces
- Ensure all dishes are prepared promptly and according to order specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety standards
- Collaborate with kitchen team members to coordinate food orders and ensure timely delivery
- Monitor food stock levels and communicate inventory needs to the chef or manager
- Adhere to proper food handling procedures and sanitation guidelines
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the culinary industry is preferred
- Knowledge of food handling procedures, culinary techniques, and kitchen equipment operation
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Familiarity with basic cooking techniques, knife skills, and food safety practices
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new recipes and menu items
- Certification from a culinary school or relevant training is a plus
