Responsibilities:
Supervises Operations:

Directs and organizes program activities to include Intensive Day Treatment and Rehab Day Treatment in both Mobile and Baldwin county
-
Ensures that all aspects of programs under direct and indirect supervision are conducted in accordance with State, Medicaid, Joint Commission, Medicare, and all other standards associated with the organization.

Directs and organizes program activities

Writes program narratives, contracts, procedures and grants on a timely manner, as applicable
-
Establishes program goals and objectives that support the organization’s strategic plan

Assures that program standards and objectives are met

Leads the program planning, development and implementation

Identifies problems, evaluates alternatives and implements effective solutions

Monitors program contracts and budget
-
Ensures programs are running efficiently and communicates information to staff regarding policies, procedures, and changes within the company and governing agencies

Supervises team leaders, therapists, behavioral staff, and drivers to ensure completing job duties as assigned
-
Approves admission to Intensive Day Programs and ensures enrollments meet criteria
-
Approves Extension of Stay for Intensive Day Program consumers
-
Approves Treatment plans
-
Monitors case loads and productivity of staff to ensure weekly/biweekly notes are completed per standards, charts closed when applicable.

Ensures that staff provides quality services that meet medical necessity
-
Provides training and education for staff to ensure competency in treatment
-
Regularly monitors the documentation of staff to ensure adherence to all governing standards of the organization by completing audits of at least 1 chart per staff member per month; follows up to ensure corrections are completed

Provides staff coverage for crisis intervention
-
Facilitates staffing with Day program staff, outpatient staff, and residential staff
-
Ensures billing for all of the programs is completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner
-
Maintains petty cash funds

Ensure supplies are furnished and available for staff to utilize in programs
-
Effectively collaborates with other Alta Pointe program coordinators and outside sources
Administers appropriate personnel functions:

Interviews and screens applicants when necessary and completes process with HR
-
Provides training in the general orientation of the facility, policies and procedures, program operations and specific skill areas
-
Completes API daily; approves Company mileage when applicable
-
Is knowledgeable and applies personnel policies and procedures on a consistent basis
-
Objectively completes employee performance evaluations on supervised staff and routes to Personnel Department on a timely basis
-
Promotes concept of treatment teams. Acts as a member of treatment team

Provides positive and effective leadership

Provides staff with consultation and supervision as needed, individually or through group staff meetings

Administrative and Other Related Duties as Assigned:

Maintains current license and requirements for renewals (i.e. CEU’s), if applicable, and attends regular workshops and in-services

Adheres to professional code of ethics
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in a mental health discipline with at least two years post-Master’s experience.
Licensure – LPC, LCSW, or LMFT preferred.
Knowledge in adult specialty, outlined below, to be attained within six (6) months of employment.

Knowledge of psychiatric disorders in the adult population

Knowledge of available community resources

Knowledge of co-occurring psychiatric and substance abuse issues

Knowledge of cultural diversity

Knowledge of behavior management, crisis intervention and interventions common to acute psychotic consumers, as well as, to non-violent crisis intervention practice

Knowledge of psychiatric rehabilitation principles
-
Knowledge of educational methods appropriate to adults with psychiatric disorders
-
Knowledge of evidence-based treatment practices and the ability to shape treatment to conform to this research
