Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to work on various projects in a fast-paced environment. This role requires proficiency in multiple welding techniques and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. The Fabricator/Welder will be responsible for constructing and assembling metal structures, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
Duties
- Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW, and Stick welding on various materials including sheet metal and pipe.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and ASME codes & standards to determine project specifications.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as press brake machines and plasma cutters for fabrication tasks.
- Conduct rigging operations safely while moving materials or components as needed.
- Measure and cut materials using calipers, micrometers, and basic math skills to ensure precision.
- Assemble components according to specifications while maintaining quality control throughout the process.
- Operate forklifts and cranes safely to transport materials within the worksite.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction site environments with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW.
- Familiarity with ductwork fabrication and pipe threading is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in machining and soldering.
- Ability to operate various hand tools and power tools effectively.
- Excellent blueprint reading skills with attention to detail for quality assurance.
- Experience with assembly processes related to metal fabrication is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
