JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW
This individual is responsible for both performing and supervising work in the therapeutic care, treatment, and rehabilitation
of persons within the program. This individual is responsible for providing a positive role model for clients to emulate and for
scheduling and supervising the work conducted by Residential Aides reporting to them.
Work is performed in accordance with established regulations, policies and procedures, but employees are expected to
exercise significant initiative and independent judgement in discharging duties. Work is reviewed by the Operations Manager
or Regional Executive Director through an evaluation of the timely and accurate completion of assignments.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Treat all clients and staff with dignity and respect
- Assist in the supervision and training of Residential Aides
- Support the development of daily scheduling for proper staff coverage during all shifts
- Ensure the maintenance of an accurate daily census
- Facilitate the admission process and conduct thorough screening of clients' personal belongings upon entry to the facility.
- Deny access to facility to unauthorized persons
- Monitor client movement in and out of the facility and account for their whereabouts. Maintain and monitor client sign out book
- Oversee the coordination of chores, fresh air, and any other in-house activities based on the program's schedule
- Coordinate, conduct, and document random client room searches as directed by Operations Manager or designee
- Monitor and document hourly runs and client movement in communication log
- Conduct regular room checks to make sure clients are on floors or in their rooms per program schedule
- Monitor urinalysis/ drug screening and breathalyzers, as directed
- Monitor daily program activities in addition to meals and medication line
- Communicate to nursing manager and nursing staff any medical needs that clients may have
- Conduct weekly full facility safety/security checks to ensure building is free of hazards/risks.
- Conduct fire drills and maintain operational safety equipment (extinguishers, smoke detectors, first aid kits, Narcan
availability, etc.)
- Other related duties as assigned by the Operations Manager and/or designee

This position reports directly to the Operations Manager

- Ability to interact effectively with clients and aid them in adjusting to their specific problems
- Basic knowledge of substance use and mental health disorders
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
- Ability to establish and maintain working relations with staff and other agencies, and the public
- Ability to successfully work with others from various cultures and backgrounds
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to work various shifts
- Basic computer skills, including ability to use Microsoft Outlook for email and Word and Excel

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education/Training: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: Applicants with minimum of 60 college credits must have at least 1 year of experience working in a residential
behavioral health program setting; applicants with high school diploma or GED must have at least 3 years of experience
working in a residential behavioral health program setting.
