Riley & Riley Insurance Services is an independent agency in Arroyo Grande, and we're looking for a licensed CSR to join our team.
Before anything else, here's the schedule: Monday through Thursday, 9 to 5. Friday, 9 to 3. No nights, no weekends, no after-hours claims duty. You're out the door by 3 on Friday, every Friday.
We're a small, independent shop - not a call center and not a captive agency. We write commercial and personal lines: commercial auto, workers' comp, contractors, homeowners, and personal auto. Because we're independent, you'll work with a real range of carriers instead of pushing one product, and you'll actually know your clients' names.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
You'll be the person our clients call. Day to day that looks like:
- Servicing existing personal and commercial accounts — endorsements, renewals, billing questions, coverage questions
- Issuing certificates of insurance and auto ID cards
- Quoting and remarketing accounts across our carriers
- Gathering underwriting information and getting submissions clean before they go out
- Keeping the agency management system accurate and current
- Working directly with our producers and with carrier underwriters
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required:
- Active California Property & Casualty (Fire & Casualty Broker-Agent) license
- At least one year of experience inside an insurance agency or carrier
- Comfortable on the phone and in email with clients, carriers, and underwriters
- Organized enough to track a lot of open items without dropping any
A big plus:
- Experience on both personal AND commercial lines
- AMS360 or other agency management system experience
- Familiarity with the E&S market

SCHEDULE AND LOCATION
In office, Arroyo Grande. Monday–Thursday 9:00–5:00, Friday 9:00–3:00, with a one-hour lunch each day.
