Job Summary

Duties
- Welcome guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
- Manage restaurant reservation systems and walk-in seating requests efficiently using the restaurant table management system Square
- Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table utilization while accommodating guest preferences and special requests
- Answer incoming phone calls with proper phone etiquette, assist with reservation inquiries, and relay messages accurately
- Maintain organized waiting lists and communicate estimated wait times clearly to guests
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the host/hostess station and waiting area
- Support guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and courteously, ensuring a positive dining experience
Experience
- Prior experience as a host/hostess in a fast-paced restaurant environment is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and hospitality excellence
- Basic math skills for handling reservations, wait times, and table counts accurately
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and interpersonal interactions
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures is a plus
- Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest needs simultaneously
