South Lake Brewing Company is seeking a dedicated Dishwasher to join our team at The Libation Lodge, located in the Tahoe Village Center at 4000 Lake Tahoe Blvd, Ste. 26, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150 - across the street from the Heavenly Village. This is an entry level position, no prior experience is required. Dishwashers will report to the Kitchen Manager of the Libation Lodge and may receive some daily instruction from the Line Cooks and Managers. This is a full-time position with starting pay of $17-18/hour. This position participates in our tip pool and receives tips on a weekly to bi-weekly basis.
Responsibilities of this position will include but are not limited to:
- Maintain a clean kitchen by properly washing and sorting soiled dishes and kitchen equipment
- Organize and keep dish area clutter-free
- Set up dish stations, including dishwashing machines and sinks
- Maintain clean and dry floors throughout the shift
- Wash, stack, and store plates, glassware, silverware, cookware, and storage containers
- Change dishwashing machine water every two hours or as needed
- Assist with the timely receiving, putting away, and storing of food deliveries from suppliers
- Maintain trash cans and empty them at the end of each shift and throughout the shift
- Transports cardboard, other recycling material, and food waste for disposal to containers located on shopping center property
- Organize dry storage area and storage shelves
- Follow posted daily dish cleaning duties
- Assist in food preparation as needed
- Communicate well with team members and management
Requirements:
- Regular, predictable attendance
- Ability to work effectively with others
- Enthusiasm for the company and brand
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to lift and move 25 pounds unassisted
- Upon acceptance of the job, must show proof of employment eligibility in the United States
