Join Self Storage Plus as a Maintenance Technician and experience personal fulfillment and measurable success. Manage the day-to-day maintenance, efficiently maintaining the building and grounds of the storage property.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain company cleanliness and maintenance standards throughout the property

Ensure that storage unit and building access doors are fully operational and secure

Perform property walkthroughs in accordance with company policy for lock review as well as to identify and remedy irregularities such as abandoned units, property damage, maintenance concerns and safety hazards

Maintain functional lighting systems and smoke detection systems for all overhead lights, exit lights, emergency light and smoke detectors by monitoring systems and replacing bulbs, batteries, ballasts and fixtures as needed

Maintain all equipment and systems in working order, advising General Manager of defects, concerns, and safety hazards promptly

Maintain clean, graffiti free and neatly painted surfaces including walls, windows, doors, bollards, and parking and curb striping. Making sure to repaint any damaged paint throughout the property as needed to meet company standards

Monitoring caulking of concrete and blacktop and replacing caulking along buildings as needed

Perform landscaping duties not covered by contracts

Handle minor plumbing repairs as needed

Other duties assigned as needed
Requirements:

Ability to multitask and remain organized

Strong problem-solving skills

Ability to bend and lift to move items at least 25 or more pounds

Ability to operate tools and equipment, such as bolt cutters, grinders and drills

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time while performing indoor and outdoor responsibilities
