Key Responsibilities
- Review: Evaluate complex tax returns including individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, estates, gifts, and non-profits.
- Research: Investigate and collaborate on complex tax projects and unique tax-related issues.
- Representation: Respond to inquiries and audit requests from the IRS and state governing authorities.
- Planning: Prepare client extensions, quarterly estimates, and proactive tax planning strategies.
- Communication: Consult clearly and professionally with clients regarding their tax liabilities and financial strategies.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 6 years in public accounting, with a strict focus on tax compliance.
- Credentials: Active CPA license required.
- Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks (Online/Desktop).
- Pluses: Hands-on experience with Lacerte tax software is a major advantage.
- Skills: Exceptional analytical ability, sharp attention to detail, and strong multitasking skills.
- Attributes: Professional demeanor with a strong desire to continuously learn and adapt.
