Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products tailored to their needs
- Educate customers on product features, effects, and proper usage through engaging product demos
- Operate POS systems efficiently for retail sales transactions, including cash handling and cash drawer management
- Upsell products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and maintain merchandising standards to ensure an attractive store environment
- Conduct inventory checks, manage stock levels, and assist with product ordering as needed
- Provide exceptional phone etiquette when answering inquiries and guiding customers remotely
- Assist with supervising staff during shifts, ensuring adherence to store policies and procedures
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service roles preferred; supervisory experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math calculations
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and transactions
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on clear, friendly interaction both in person and over the phone
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Knowledge of cannabis products, including retail store product knowledge and merchandising best practices
- Experience conducting product demos and upselling techniques to enhance sales performance
- Demonstrated responsibility in stocking, inventory management, and maintaining a clean store environment
- Excellent phone etiquette, customer service orientation, and the ability to handle cash handling procedures confidently
