The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team responsible for providing breastfeeding support services within the Community Clinical Services Division. Duties will include providing breastfeeding information, education, support and encouragement to pregnant and breastfeeding women within the Kent County Women, Infants and Children (WIC) by providing one-on-one counseling and group education sessions and support groups. Individual will also assist in marketing and outreach activities for the WIC and Breastfeeding Peer Counselor Program by working collaboratively with community partners and providing referrals to community service providers. Other duties include breast pump distribution, inventory control and maintaining appropriate records and reports. Attend staff meetings, breastfeeding trainings and workshops as appropriate.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, no weekends, nights or holidays. Will be required to work 10 am - 7pm on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month.
