THE ROLE
The Odom Corporation is seeking an HR Specialist to support workers’ compensation, injury management, return-to-work, and related employee support activities across our multi-state operations.
This position serves as a key resource for employees, managers, carriers, third-party administrators, and internal stakeholders, helping ensure claims are administered effectively while supporting compliance, employee recovery, and operational continuity.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Workers’ Compensation Administration
- Coordinate workers’ compensation claims from initial reporting through closure
- Serve as a liaison between employees, managers, medical providers, carriers, and third-party administrators
- Monitor claim status, documentation, and deadlines
- Maintain accurate records and reporting related to workplace injuries and claims
- Analyze workers’ compensation audits and cost containment strategies
Return-to-Work Employee Support
- Coordinate return-to-work and transitional-duty activities
- Support employees and managers throughout the claims process
- Facilitate communication between all parties to promote successful outcomes
- Assist with accommodation and case management activities as appropriate
Compliance & Risk Management
- Support compliance with applicable workers’ compensation regulations and company policies
- Monitor claims trends and identify potential risk areas
- Assist with audits, reporting, and regulatory requirements
- Escalate complex or high-risk matters as appropriate
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Partner with Safety, HR Operations, Payroll, HR Business Partners, and operational leaders
- Support injury prevention and workplace safety initiatives
- Assist with process improvement efforts and reporting enhancements
- Contribute to a positive employee experience through responsive service and communication
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years of experience in workers’ compensation, Human Resources, safety, risk management, insurance, or a related field
- Strong organizational, communication, and case management skills
- Experience working with confidential information
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Risk Management, or related field
- Experience working with third-party administrators and insurance carriers
- Experience supporting multi-state operations
- Relevant workers’ compensation or claims administration training and certifications
