The Boeing Company is looking for a Software Engineer - Secure Network & Protocols to join the GTE Software Team team located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) & Boeing Global Services (BGS) Software Engineering organization.
Training Systems is responsible for the design, manufacture, development, and maintenance of a wide variety of commercial and military training devices. The applicant would be primarily supporting the E7 Training System platforms, in Oklahoma City, OK. As a Software Engineer - Secure Network & Protocols, you will focus on of solutions such as the integration of software E7IAB (E-7 in a box) program. As a Software Engineer, you will assess current software architecture, documentation, and environments for a seamless transition of upgrade and integration into lab facilities.
Due to the nature of work, this position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Oklahoma City, OK. The position will need to possess or be able to obtain the appropriate security clearances.

Position Responsibilities:
In this role you will work on all aspects of the software development lifecycle including scope and work estimation, architecture and design, coding, and automated testing within an Agile and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery model
Support in development of high-quality software design, implementation and architecture

Develop, document and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and design for software systems as part of an agile scrum team
Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system
Develops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met; creates, updates and maintain software tests
Executes and documents software research and development projects
Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations
Work closely with other engineers to develop the best technical design and approach for new product development
Build software solutions where the solution is not always well defined but always considers the customer first
Work closely with Product Managers and SW Engineers in defining system level software features
Work closely with the team to decomposing system level features into executable backlog items
Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. Ability to obtain Secret US Security clearance Post-Start.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or other technical degree
8+ years’ experience in Object Oriented Programming
8+ years’ experience programming in C/C++
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with Visual Studio IDE, Git (version control)
Experience in aerodynamics, Guidance and Control (G&C), sensor modeling, DIS/HLA (Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) and High-Level Architecture (HLA), electronic warfare, and/or communications systems
Experience in integrating fighter platform and adversary systems onto the network
Familiarity in project management tools such as (JIRA, VersionOne etc.)
Knowledge of Agile Development methodologies
Familiarity with multiple operating systems (Windows, LINUX, etc.)
Proficiency with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Visio, & PowerPoint)
Solid understanding of software development process fundamentals
Experience with SAFe methodologies and/or other Agile frameworks
