This position is expected to run Memorial Day through Labor Day.
We are hiring several short-term Trails and Weeds Aides for our Community Enrichment Department. The successful candidates will perform landscape maintenance duties, such as mowing, cutting, weed eating, pulling weeds, and maintaining over-grown vegetation on county lots, parcels and parking lots.
This position is responsible for the removal of debris throughout Butte Silver-Bow Footprint, such as in the main-thoroughfares, alleys, and wherever else is needed, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, including worksite areas (parcels & lots) and equipment, and completing the job in the most time-effective manner meeting Butte-Silver Bow productivity targets. Candidate will also assist the Supervisor/Lead with route and job organization, ensuring that sufficient resources and materials are available, including gas, oil, trimmer line, gloves, safety vests, and glasses, as well as caring for equipment and notifying management of necessary repairs.
Must be 16 years of age or over. SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION Summer hire orientation and safety training is required.
