Qualifications:
- Two Years of Study at an Institution of Higher Education with Associate Degree (preferred)
- Received a Passing Score on the ETS Paraprofessional Assessment (preferred)
- ABA experience highly desired
Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Assists in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for classified students, including instructional, academic, and behavioral supports
- Prepare instructional and classroom materials, and implement behavior intervention plans under the direction of the teacher, Child Study Team (CST), and/or Behaviorist
- Collect, record, and analyze data on student behaviors and discrete trials under teacher, BCBA supervision, or CST/Guidance
- Works with individual or small groups of students with special needs as assigned, managing all support plans with consistency, and a calm, patient approach
- Incorporates positive behavior support throughout all programming for the purpose of creating a consistent environment, providing physical and verbal prompting
- Work at the discretion of the teacher, with individual or groups of students with projects or assignments, organizational and study skills, correcting student work, assisting in maintaining discipline and order, assisting new students in acclimating to the class/school
- Monitor students during non-instructional time when required by the students’ IEPs or 504 plans
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with the school-based team regarding student progress and goals on both academics and behaviors to ensure consistency in interventions and supports
- Implements de-escalation strategies and restraints for crisis management.
- Assists at field trips, emergency drills, and district-sponsored events during the school day
- Incorporates augmentative communication devices and assistive technology
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate flexibility to work with students and staff

Salary: Competitive salary per MEA Agreement; starting at $28.89/hour
