American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of experience in coronary and peripheral interventional procedures.
-
Acute care hospital setting with 150 staffed beds
-
Cardiac Cath Lab unit performing coronary and peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures, cardiac arrhythmia care, and permanent pacemaker insertions
-
Average daily caseload of 8-12 patients

Uses Epic for charting
-
Fluoroscopy equipment and PACS system utilized
-
4x10 hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
-
No weekend requirement

Call requirement included

No floating required within primary facility, though floating between sister facilities may be expected

Minimum of 2 years experience in Cath Lab required
-
Current ARRT (R), BLS, and ACLS certifications required
-
Current Fluoro Permit required; candidates with a pending Fluoro permit will be considered if already applied for at time of consideration

License required if applicable
-
RCIS certification not accepted in place of ARRT, though CCI RCIS is preferred as an additional credential
-
RCIS acceptable in lieu of ARRT for candidates with 5+ years of experience

Epic charting experience preferred

Community hospital experience preferred

Skilled in procedures such as cardiac stent placement, diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, permanent and temporary pacemaker insertion, right and left heart catheterization
-
Experience with hemodynamic monitoring, equipment set up, and maintaining a sterile field
-
Familiarity with electrophysiology studies, AICD insertion/programming, and cardioversion preferred
-
Experience with peripheral vascular procedures including angioplasty, stent placement, and vascular studies preferred

First-time travelers accepted

Local radius rule of 50 miles applies for lower bill rate eligibility

Facility may accommodate block scheduling requests

RTO requests must be submitted and approved prior to consideration; minimal RTO preferred to expedite process
-
Candidates must be willing to work 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

Two supervisory references required, covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
-
Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a travel employee and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility

30 hours of orientation required prior to start

Cath Lab scrubs provided by facility
