Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and diagnostics on diesel engines, electrical systems, transmissions, air brakes, and related components on heavy equipment and vehicles.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues; use hand tools and diagnostic equipment to identify faults.
- Replace fluids, filters, belts, tires, and worn parts; perform scheduled maintenance and system inspections to ensure reliability.
- Document work performed, communicate findings to supervisors, and provide recommendations for repairs or replacements.
- Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards; conduct test drives or operational checks after service.
Qualifications
- Strong diagnostic and repair skills for diesel engines and heavy equipment, including electrical and mechanical systems
- Experience with construction machinery maintenance, air brakes, transmissions, and diesel engine diagnostics
- Proficiency with hand tools and basic fabrication; able to perform equipment troubleshooting and scheduled maintenance
- Relevant service/technician background with focus on vehicle and trailer servicing; safety-conscious with attention to OEM specifications
- Optional: dealership experience, forklift/caterpillar knowledge, and basic customer service interactions
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
