WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST (EMPLOYMENT TRAINING)
Location: Richmond, Virginia Position Type: Part-Time, Hybrid (required in-person meetings) Schedule: Monday–Friday (25 hours week) Salary: $25.00–$35.00 per hour (based on experience) Start Date: immediate opening (until filled)
Required Qualifications: Must be a current resident of Virginia in the Richmond metropolitan area. Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in workforce development, human services, employment and training, career counseling, or adult education related field.

Key Responsibilities:
- Create employment training curriculums that focus on essential job development skills.
- Develop, maintain, and distribute participant onboarding and program documents.
- Process and organize incoming referrals from LDSS and partner agencies.
- Facilitate group training sessions that foster personal and professional growth.
- Conduct assessments to identify participants’ strengths and areas for improvement.
- Provide coaching and support for students throughout their training sessions.
- Monitor and update participant program data related to enrollment, attendance, and retention outcomes.
- Manage participant onboarding and completion of required program documentation from intake through completion.
- Complete weekly reports and submit them to Program Director and LDSS agency staff.
- Attend meetings with LDSS agencies and other stakeholders to build workforce pipelines.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and technology used to conduct virtual training, presentations, and online meetings.
- Experience developing curriculums and facilitating cohort training sessions.
- Knowledge of participant case management, tracking, and monitoring program outcomes.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Experience working with diverse backgrounds and communities.
