Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, floor care, and sanitation of bathrooms to uphold high standards of cleanliness.
- Handle cleaning tasks using appropriate equipment and chemical agents while adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and safety protocols.
- Manage janitorial supplies and cleaning equipment efficiently to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Follow hotel housekeeping management procedures, including tracking room status and communicating with front desk staff for guest requests or room readiness.
- Maintain sanitation standards through proper handling of chemical agents and ensuring compliance with health regulations.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture or linens safely during cleaning routines.
- Respond promptly to guest requests or concerns related to housekeeping services, providing excellent customer service at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping, custodial work, or janitorial services with a strong understanding of hotel housekeeping management.
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques, floor care, vacuuming, and sanitation practices.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely and responsibly while following all safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines.
- Physical capability for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking throughout shifts.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members.
- Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for all.
- Prior experience with cleaning equipment operation and maintenance is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
