Mobility and Transportation Planner
(Mobility Management Specialist)
Location: 2317 Countryside Drive, Fremont, OH 43420
Schedule: Monday - Thursday
Weekly Hours: 34 hours per week
Employment Type: Year-Round Full-Time
Pay Rate: Starting at $23.47 per hour
Position Overview:
Develop and maintain partnerships with community organizations, transportation providers, and participants to improve access to transportation services. Assist individuals in identifying transportation options, coordinate mobility planning activities, and support the development and implementation of local transportation initiatives.

Education:
Associate’s degree. Prefer Bachelor’s degree in Business management, transportation, social services, planning or related field.
Experience:
One to three years’ experience working in transportation, business, or social services working with seniors and/or the disabled and one to three years’ experience working with word processing, spreadsheet, internet, and database software.
As a condition of employment, the following are additional requirements:

Initial and periodic Motor Vehicle Records checks, maintain a valid driver’s license, and maintain a safe driving record.

Must have insured, dependable transportation available for daily use.

Must submit to initial and/or periodic state and/or federal criminal checks.

Must submit to initial and periodic drug and alcohol testing.

Ability to be reached by cellular phone during business hours and after hours.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Initiate and maintain relationships with other GLCAP departments, area social service and transportation providers to assist participants in meeting their transportation needs.

Coordinate outreach and recruitment of participants, conduct intake, training, and travel plans with seniors, caregiver, disabled individuals, and low-income participants. Prepare, submit, and ensure the accuracy of required documentation, reports, referral tracking records, and participant files within established time frames.

Prepare and conduct community mobility management presentations, attend senior centers , and various events to promote the mobility management program.

Attend community meetings and confer regularly with staff, community transportation providers, and committees to remain current on transportation services needed and provided within each community listed in the county coordinated plans.

Prepare for county transportation stakeholder meetings including the schedule, handouts, contact list, record minutes, distribute and manage meeting logistics.

Maintain and recruit stakeholders to participate in county coordinated planning group and lead county stakeholder meetings.
