Job Overview:
We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and hard-working front-of-house team member to work together as a combination food runner and host.
Job Description:
- Greet customers as soon as they walk through the door
- Seat guests, chat with them, help them feel welcomed
- Assist with opening/closing tasks and side work as needed
- Know the menu and recommend meals from restaurant offerings
- Use Toast POS system to track and deliver food orders
- Clean and stock the restaurant essentials for front of house service
- Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff for prompt and correct delivery of orders
- Must be able to go up and down stairs without difficulty
- Maintain a neat, organized front-of-house environment
- Maintain a clean, neat, organized front-of-house environment
- Set tables and rearrange the dining area to accommodate larger groups
- Help prepare the restaurant for special events
- All other duties assigned by management
Desired Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of point-of-sale (POS) systems (TOAST)
- Polite and hospitable attitude
- Ability to work well under time pressure
- Dedication to on-time arrival for shifts
- High level of stamina to work to work on feet for extended periods
- Ability to safely transport food or beverages
- Ability to go up and down stairs
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and carry trays, plates and small wares
- Available to work a variety of hours, days and shifts, including weekends
Positions Available: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 per hour
