Broadband Hospitality, a leading provider of hospitality interactive application development and technology services, has an immediate opportunity for a Project Accountant.
Job Description:
This position will be able to work with our accounting department and is responsible for conducting project billing. The candidate must have a strong background in accounting and a minimum of 5 years of working experience and be willing to work in our corporate office in Youngstown, OH.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all aspects of project milestone billing, including compliance with billing and collections best practices and procedures
- Creates job cost estimates based on contracts, build of materials, and change orders
- Maintains the accuracy of the information contained within the job costing system
- Reconciliation of project accounts receivable aging on a weekly and monthly basis
- Assist with the processing, application, and maintenance of client payments related to projects
- Communicates with clients regarding project billing questions
- Provides records of billing, payments, and billing adjustments
- Preparing and reviewing various monthly reports for analyzing project data
- Research various accounting issues
- Assist Accounting management with special projects
Qualifications:
- Knows commonly-used accounting principles
· Proficiency in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Proven flexibility, initiative, and self-reliance
- Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of organizational policies, procedures, and systems
Education and Experience
- Job cost experience preferred, contract billing experience a plus
- 0-5 years of cumulative experience, including general accounting, account reconciliation, journal entries, fixed assets, billing, payables, and report generation
- Experience in Microsoft Great Plains or Acumatica is a plus
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience is a plus
