American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (OB Tech) with labor and delivery experience for a 13-week night shift travel assignment in an LDRP unit in Anchorage, AK.

7-bed LDRP unit in a hospital setting in Anchorage, AK
-
Patient population includes OB/GYN cases with variable ratios based on acuity
-
Unit is staffed with 2 RNs and 1 surgical tech per shift
-
Procedures performed include vaginal deliveries, C-sections, D&E, D&C, tubal ligation, vaginal repair, and hysterectomy
-
GE equipment used on the unit
-
Epic EMR utilized for documentation

Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
-
13-week contract
-
Floating to other units may occur when census is low
-
CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) credential required; state licensure required if applicable
-
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a surgical tech role
-
Recent experience in a labor and delivery setting required
-
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required — must be NRP Advanced 9th Edition with current card from the American Academy of Pediatrics

BLS certification from the AHA or ARC required; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start

US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — Canadian SSNs are not accepted

One professional reference required

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be considered

Scrubs are provided by the facility

Allied candidates must have 6 months of experience within the last 6 months in the role for which they are applying
