Summary
We are seeking an Expeditor to join our team at Advanced Test Equipment Corp. In this role, you are tasked with inventory, administrative, and logistics tasks to make sure we are shipping the equipment out on time to our customers. Strong communication and organizational skills are a must, as you work with several departments.
Responsibilities
- Acts as primary point of contact for other departments on order related issues.
- Determines priorities of equipment coming into the lab for order using basic audit checklist
- Contacts Agent within 1 hour regarding status of calibration schedule and shipment expectation
- Confer with department supervisors or other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes to help expedite order commitment to customer
- Examines documents, materials, or products and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications.
- Confers with technicians, vendors, or customers to coordinate shipping activities and to resolve complaints, eliminate delays, to help expedite order commitment to customer
- Requisition and maintain inventories of materials or supplies necessary to meet production demands
- Reviews equipment being out of the lab (orders shipping & items stocked/restocked) using basic audit checklist
- Locates and routes incoming parts to correct technician
- Creates and file calibration certificates
Requirements
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Previous experience in logistics or order processing is required.
- Proficiency in using computer systems for tracking orders and inventory management.
