Supervising Pharmacist
Location: Brooklyn, NY 11203 (9311 Church Avenue)
Schedule: 4–5 Days per Week
- Monday–Thursday: 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM
- Friday & Saturday: 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM (Friday and Saturday are required.)
Compensation: $65–$70 per hour

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Supervising Pharmacist to oversee the daily operations of a busy community pharmacy in Brooklyn. Position Summary
The Supervising Pharmacist is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, supervising pharmacy staff, ensuring compliance with all federal and New York State regulations, and providing outstanding customer service. This individual will serve as the pharmacist-in-charge during scheduled shifts and help foster a positive, efficient work environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesPharmacy Operations
- Oversee daily pharmacy workflow and ensure efficient prescription processing.
- Verify the accuracy of prescriptions prior to dispensing.
- Ensure compliance with New York State Board of Pharmacy regulations, HIPAA, DEA, and all applicable federal and state laws.
- Maintain proper inventory levels, medication storage, and controlled substance records.
- Monitor pharmacy quality assurance and safety procedures.
Leadership & Staff Management
- Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support staff.
- Train, mentor, and provide ongoing coaching to pharmacy team members.
- Schedule staff and ensure adequate coverage during operating hours.
- Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment focused on patient care and operational excellence.
Patient Care
- Counsel patients regarding medications, dosage, side effects, and drug interactions.
- Address patient questions and resolve medication-related concerns.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes.
- Promote medication adherence and patient safety initiatives.
Compliance & Quality
- Ensure all pharmacy documentation is accurate and complete.
- Maintain records required for audits and inspections.
- Implement and monitor pharmacy policies and procedures.
- Stay current on regulatory changes and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Active New York Pharmacist License in good standing.
- Previous experience as a Supervising Pharmacist, Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC), Pharmacy Manager, or Lead Pharmacist preferred.
- Strong knowledge of New York State pharmacy regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
- Proficiency with pharmacy management systems is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Community or retail pharmacy leadership experience.
- Experience supervising pharmacy technicians and support staff.
- Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
